Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
BioBags biodegradable trash bags keep your trash cans clean. Made from a compostable, biodegradable material that is based on starch from non GMO corn, vegetable oil and other renewable resources, these bags help to eliminate regular plastic bags from our environment. Many polyethylene based plastic trash bags can take over 100 years to degrade. When disposed, BioBags will biodegrade as naturally as food scraps, leaving no harmful residue. Biobag biodegradable trash bags meet and exceed requirements for compostable plastic. BioBag trash bags meet the ASTM 6400 requirements and California Law SB 1749. The ASTM 6400 requirements are the gold standard for compostable 'plastic'. BioBags meet this requirement. Some manufacturers are blending additives to polyethylene to produce 'degradable' bags. Unfortunately, this process fragments the bags into pieces of plastic debris that do not meet the ASTM D6400 standard for biodegradable and compostable plastic. Please choose size from drop down menu. Made in Norway.

5 out of 5 stars stronger than expected   October 22, 2007

I got introduced to these bags at farmer's market because one of the farmers uses them to bag the veggies you buy. I started re-using them and then bought a box of larger ones to line my kitchen trash can in an effort to cut my regular plastic use down as much as possible. I love them & I'm amazed at how strong they are. Definitely a great product you can feel good about!

5 out of 5 stars Haven't leaked yet   March 31, 2008

I figured that these bags would break down ( since that's sorta the point ) while they were still in the compost basket. I'm on my second box and can happily report that they haven't leaked, broken or spilled food all over my house.

Now we'll have to see if they EVER break down out in the heap.

I have been using BioBags for the last 2 years or so. The bags are very strong and depedable and best of all I don't feel like everytime I take my trash out I am adding to the plastic polution of our landfills. Try them...they are great!

These bags are a good size and of high quality. My only concern is that they are made in Norway, which is not exactly environmentally friendly.

5 out of 5 stars You have to alter your behaviors...start with these Bio Bags!   March 15, 2008

Plastic bags are killing our environment. Period. These Bio Bags are the VERY best product you can use to help stop this eco-nightmare. No, they are not as strong as plastic, so guess what? You need to adjust your lifestyle. It is astounding that some people are not willing to make even small adjustments in the face of ecological calamity. You will learn quickly how to make your waste appropriate for these bags to accept. It doesn't take much effort at all and you will be sure you are part of the solution, not the problem.

I use the tall kitchen bags and the large breed dog waste bags. I never have garbage spill, nor poop fall out of these well engineered bags. Just be smart about how you use them and they will serve you well.

Bravo to Biobag for these wonderful, fully biodegradable bags. Until something else is invented USE THESE and don't gripe about small adjustments to help relieve the choking pollution problem that now haunts us all!
